My name is David Paine and I have been working in the fitness industry for 13 years. Since graduating from Loughborough University in 2003 with a BSc in Sport Science and PGCE in secondary physical education I have worked as teacher, sports coach and performance coach, training individuals ranging from the professional athlete to those that are taking exercise for the first time. 

 

I work within  my own private training facility in Bishops Stortford which has been designed to provide an outstanding venue for individuals and groups.

Sport specific training is available across any sport. Using biomechanical analysis of movement patterns and  a thorough understanding of the physical demands of the activity programmes are carefully designed. I have worked with people in the following sport; Rugby, Golf, Triathlon, Motor Sport, Tennis, Cross Country, Road racing, Football, Hockey, Cricket, Polo, Netball & Lacrosse.

Strength and Conditioning is becoming more prominent especially in the junior age brackets and I have particular experience training youth performers between the age of 5-18 years.

Running
Technique

Conditioning and development of sound running mechanics through video analysis and a structured coaching, enables individuals to run with greater efficiency and as a result fewer running injuries.

There is an increased popularity in barefoot running alongside the published benefits associated with wearing low profile footwear. It is however, essential that anyone looking to make the transition to a racing flat trainer or vibram shoe go through a well structured training programme.

On the 6 hour course you will learn and understand the theory behind POSE running, asses your current running mechanics through video analysis and make permanent changes through specific coaching drills. This course can be taught in a 6hr block or split into separate 1 hour or 2 hour training slots.
